Stolen sun. Tale The Stolen Sun (Korney Chukovsky) read text online, free download

The sun walked across the sky
And ran behind the cloud,
The hare looked out the window,
It got dark.

And the magpies
Beloboki
Ride across the fields
They shouted to the cranes:
Woe! Woe! Crocodile
The sun in the sky swallowed!

Darkness has come
Don't go through the gate
Who got on the street -
Got lost and lost.

Crying gray sparrow:
“Come out, sunshine, hurry up!
It's a shame for us without the sun -
There is no grain in the field!”

bunnies cry
On the lawn:
Lost, poor, astray,
They can't get home.

Only bug-eyed crayfish
They climb the earth in darkness,
Yes, in the ravine behind the mountain
The wolves howl furiously.

early early
Two rams
They knocked on the gate:
Tra-ta-ta and tra-ta-ta!

"Hey you, animals, come out,
Defeat the crocodile
To the greedy Crocodile
The sun returned to the sky!

But furry ones are afraid:
“Where are we to fight with such a thing!
He is both formidable and toothy,
He won't give us the sun!"

And they run to the Bear's lair:
“Come out, Bear, to help,
Full paw to you, loafer, suck,
Gotta go save the sun!

But the Bear is reluctant to fight:
He walks, he walks, the Bear, the circle of the swamp,
He cries, Bear, and roars,
He calls cubs from the swamp:

“Oh, where have you, fat-skinned, disappeared?
Who did you throw me, the old one, at?

And in the swamp the Bear prowls,
Bear cubs under snags looking for:
"Where are you, where have you gone?
Or fell into a ditch?
Or crazy dogs
Have you been torn apart in the dark?"

And all day she wanders through the forest,
But he doesn't find cubs anywhere.
Only black owls from the thicket
Their eyes are on her.

Here the Hare came out
And the Bear said:
"It's a shame for the old to roar -
You are not a hare, but a Bear.
You go, clubfoot,
Scratch the crocodile
Tear it apart
Take the sun out of your mouth
And when it is again
Will shine in the sky
Your babies are furry
fat bear cubs,
They themselves will come running to the house:

And got up
Bear,
growled
Bear,
And to the Big River
ran
Bear.

And in the Big River
Crocodile
lies,
And in his teeth
Not a fire burns -
The sun is red
Sun stolen.

The Bear came quietly
Pushed him lightly.
"I'm telling you, villain,
Spit out the sun soon!
And not that, look, I'll catch it -
I'll break it in half -
Will you, ignoramus, know
Steal our sun!
Look for the robber breed:
Clawed the sun from the sky
And with a full belly
Crashed under a bush
Yes, and grunts awake,
Like a well-fed sow.
The whole world disappears
And he has no grief!

But the shameless laughs
So that the tree shakes:
"If I only want
And I will swallow the moon!

Didn't endure
Bear,
Zarevel
Bear,
And on the evil enemy
flew
Bear.

He already crushed him
And broke it:
"Give it here
Our sunshine!

Hello golden sun!
Hello blue sky!

The birds began to chirp
Fly for insects.
steel bunnies
On the lawn
Roll and jump.

And look: bear cubs,
Like happy kittens
Straight to the furry grandfather,
Fat-footed, run:
“Hello, grandfather, we are here!”

Happy bunnies and squirrels,
Happy boys and girls
Hugs and kisses clubfoot:
“Well, thank you, grandfather, for the sun!”

The properties and nature of the Devil's Lair will not be able to be explained by experts for a long time, just as they will not be able to find an antidote to everything that is happening in this zone. Tell, for example, local machine operators how to make an even track. Every time a furrow, made by the most experienced tractor operator in the Devil's Den, the next day turns out to be crooked like a viper, of which there are also a lot here.

On November 11, 1990, such an incident occurred: thirty steps from the country road, right in the very center of the Devil's Den, the local shepherd Bisen (Yuri) Mamaev sat down on a pile of hay from fatigue. According to the protocol, “the shepherd’s assistant, having been distracted for a while, discovered the charred body of Mamaev, lying on the ground without any signs of struggle or resistance to fire. Death probably came instantly as a result of a sharp charring of the body ... ”The strangest thing is that death crept up to Bisen from the inside. An autopsy showed that the young body was in perfect order until his death and that the maximum burn was in the area of \u200b\u200bthe spine and internal organs, and the skin was only charred and blackened. The protocol drawn up at the scene, in the Devil's Den, says that "Mamaev did not resist the fire", which cannot be - all living victims of the fire, even sleeping, dying or unconscious, instinctively roll on the ground and take a "boxer's pose" , try to close with their hands.

Later, a combine operator, a foreman from a neighboring village, burned down in the Devil's Den. He died like a hero, trying to save his harvester and grain field from the flames, he did not die immediately, he suffered for 11 days in intensive care, but medicine again turned out to be powerless with multiple burns. A similar feat in the Devil's Lair was performed by 28-year-old Sergei from the local collective farm, but luck smiled on him more and he did not die.

Not far from the Devil's Lair there is a no less anomalous place - the "Grove of drunken birches". It looks as if a hundred white-barreled beauties in their distant childhood were crushed from above by a large heavy lid. And they, bent over, began to creep along the ground and wrap themselves around each other like giant creepers. Many of the trees are burned from below. As if from under the ground, from under the roots, they were scorched by fire.

In addition, measurements of the radiation background of the Drunken Grove always show a three-fold excess of the norm. Perhaps the reason is in radon sources. Therefore, the drunken grove is considered geopathogenic. People avoid him. Previously, when fields were plowed nearby, machine operators did not even stop here for a five-minute rest.

Local residents assure that if you linger in the Devil's Lair until dark, then you will not find your way back until morning. Although the terrain near the Devil's Lair is open and flat. And the inhabitants of the neighboring village of Pogranichnoye, behind a hillock, have long ceased to plow the land in the Devil's Den: no matter how hard you try, you won’t get an even furrow: solid zigzags.

It's time to sum up our quest.
From the very beginning, we watched a stubborn and most importantly fair fight, it was very interesting to watch online how the leaders change, some lose the palm, others pull ahead. It's nice that not only our experienced users, but also beginners took part in the competition, and it was absolutely impossible to predict the winner.

At the time of closing the quest, it took part, that is, it was noted at the first object, 214 person of which 46 reached the end.

When compiling questions for the quest, we were worried that they could turn out to be either very complex or very simple. After testing them on colleagues, we realized that a good time would be 1.5 or even 2 hours. But many of you have surpassed that figure.

6 users were able to complete the quest in less than an hour, this is an excellent result. Here is a list of these heroes to whom we give memorable souvenirs from the People's Map:

Hint: This was in the 1960s

Hint: Big Apple.

2. In order for the letter to get to this post office, it is enough to write on the envelope who the addressee is. Find this branch on the map.

Hint: Move north.

4. There is no such address in St. Petersburg and never was, but in Moscow it really existed before. The familiar Moscow house, however, is not located there. Find this house.

Hint: Treat this question with irony.

6. Rumor has it that it owes its name to a special glow from the screen. Find on the map the place where it was first prepared for the exit.

Hint: This was in the 1960s

Bonus Tip: Think about what a screen looks like

8. In this place, almost a day can be easily added to the outgoing year. You just need to overcome four kilometers and cross the border with the United States. Find the tract of the same name on the map of this place.

Hint: It's about 180°.

10. He descends from heaven to earth only once a year (except for rehearsals). Find a place where it happens. Hint: it is not only the shape that makes it related to an apple.

Answer: New York

In conclusion - where all 11 waypoints are marked.

Here is the key to our quest. Of the interesting, it is worth noting that the Palace on the Yauza became the most difficult objects to solve (we even made an additional hint for it), as well as Times Square. Also, many asked for a hint to Santa Claus's mail, and some had difficulty finding a hill on the border of Finland and Russia.

And a big thank you to everyone for participating!

AND THE DARKNESS COME

Chronicle_of_a_space_flight_

It was very beautiful - the first transgalactic spacecraft, grace and strength were combined in it in an amazing way, creating the impression of harmony and aesthetic perfection, but the crew of the spacecraft consisted of only two people, because the purpose of the expedition was to verify the conclusion of cosmologists about the finiteness of the Cosmos, in other words - exploration of the "boundaries" of the universe.

After listening to the parting words of the excited scientists, the commander of the ship, Ivanov, delivered a brilliant speech consisting of three words: “Thank you! See you soon,” and disappeared into the spaceship. Pilot Petrov waved to the remaining ones and silently followed him. In the cockpit, Ivanov answered all the questions of the remote reconnaissance controller, looked inquiringly at his comrade, and he nodded encouragingly. Ivanov turned on the engine.

The first transgalactic spacecraft launched towards the Pole, into the unknown.

THE FIRST DAY

Having left the Solar System, the spacecraft made a hyperlight jump outside the Galaxy, and the spacemen admired for a long time the magnificent spiral of the Milky Way, which occupied the entire volume of the main screen. The second jump took them beyond the limits of the local cluster of galaxies, from where the native Galaxy already looked like a faint speck of light the size of a human pupil.

“I wouldn’t lose it,” said Petrov, who had been silent since the start, always busy with some kind of calculations.

- And what about automatic exchange machines? Ivanov replied, knowing that Petrov knew that he, Ivanov, also knew that the spacecraft were guided by automata along a long-calculated trajectory and it was almost impossible to get lost.

However, for some reason Petrov shrugged his shoulders, and a shadow of doubt fell on his face.

SECOND DAY

The third, and the fifth, and the twenty-fifth jump in the "star kangaroo" mode did not change anything in the space around them. The weak fireflies of distant galaxies and their clusters still shone from all sides, folding into a cellular mosaic on the screens, the Fugitive-XX quasar still burned in front of the "guiding star", personifying for the science of the Earth the "border" of the Universe visible through the telescope.

After the twenty-sixth jump, the quasar rolled aside, and the spacemen began to study the world around them and check the ship's systems. An analysis of the path traveled showed that the spacecraft pierced about thirty billion light-years and indeed passed near a quasi-stellar source known as the Fugitive-XX, a piece of pra-matter that has been burning since the birth of the Universe.

After celebrating the event with the clink of glasses with tonic ai, the space pilots directed the ship's run into the thick darkness of the "out of space" space. Behind was the familiar space sparkling with rare lights, Her Majesty the Unknown was waiting in front of the people ...

Waking up from daily non-existence, Ivanov felt his head, heavy after hypnosis, and met his comrade's gaze, expressing a question. Turning off the protection, he gave a command to the machine, and the screens began to see.

- Tree sticks! Petrov muttered sullenly.

Complete darkness surrounded them on all sides! Not a single ray of light, not a single tiniest star! Nothing! Darkness!

- The thirteenth day is the same ... - Ivanov muttered and reluctantly turned on the onboard research complex. But even with the help of instruments it was not possible to determine where the spacecraft was located. There were no such concepts as "up" and "down", "forward" and "backward", "far" and "close". It seemed that the whole ship was densely packed with black, light-impervious matter. Automation also could not give recommendations on how to get out of this strange coal bag, in which there were no distances and linear measures. I could not even believe that there was a vacuum behind the walls of the spacecraft, but the computer assured me that the space had not changed significantly, around the same continuum filled with relic radiation. True, the density of the energy flow from all sides became negligible, ultra-sensitive sensors threw almost zeros on the scoreboard.

The researchers did nothing for a day, they thought. Then Ivanov turned on the engines again.

- We will jump until we jump somewhere, we have no other way.

HOPE

Having made the hundredth jump, the desperate space pilots, with fading hope, searched the blackness of the observation screens with their eyes, and suddenly Petrov threw off his gloomy phlegm:

- Pinch me, Tolya, I'm sleeping!

Ivanov followed his gaze and, since he did not forbid himself to say aloud everything he thought, he uttered a longer tirade, the meaning of which was reduced to the word "hurrah!".

A small spark appeared on the left side of the starship's nose. It was almost invisible, far beyond the limits of human vision, but if the light from it reached this region of space, then life shone ahead? Another Universe?

- You are our little star! Ivanov sang from an excess of feelings.

Petrov took out glasses in response.

CONFUSION

After the fifth jump since the discovery of a spark of light, Ivanov stopped the superluminal movement of the spacecraft, looking anxiously at the energy reserve counter.

The star increased, but its spectrum was very strange, it did not fit into the framework of any of the theories of stellar radiation.

At first, Petrov joked gloomily that they had fallen into the anti-world, then he suggested that this was a “white hole” - an exit to another Universe from the one from which they had flown. But none of them assumed the true state of things.

SNAKE BITTING ITSELF'S TAIL

After another jump, they finally saw what it was.

In front of them, clearly visible in the blackness of outer space, hung a gigantic, burning with a very even orange flame ... a candle!

“A hundred thousand parsecs!” – muttered Petrov, looking with wild eyes at the target marks of the screen. “Look, Tolya, the length of the flame is one hundred thousand parsecs!” Can you imagine?!

Ivanov had no idea, he just watched with his mouth open.

The candle was twisted, drops of molten stearin froze on it (?!), and its base was lost in darkness. It burned evenly, imperturbably, smokelessly, as if standing on a table in a candlestick, and not hanging in space, larger than any galaxy!

"Fathers of the world! Ivanov gasped, illumined by a hunch. “Where is this taking us?” Has it turned out back to Earth? From the macrocosm to the microcosm?!

He did not have time to develop the idea. From somewhere out of the darkness of the "candle" space, gigantic human lips moved closer to the candle, blew on the flame, and complete darkness ensued...
